Council #11888

State Blessed Michael McGivney Award

FATHER DANIEL YASINSKI

Fr. Yasinski has been an exceptional spiritual leader and a steadfast supporter of Knights of Columbus Council 11888, consistently embodying the pastoral heart of Blessed Michael McGivney. His regular attendance at council meetings, guidance on Knights’ activities, and encouragement of recruitment have strengthened our unity and mission.

His constant teachings on faith and family life, often drawn from the Holy Family, have helped shape our parish into a true family of faith. Through initiatives such as family movie nights for children and rosary potluck gatherings, he has deepened prayer life, strengthened communal bonds, and fostered unity. Parishioners see him as a role model in Catholic faith, reflected in the significant increase in young adults and children joining the altar server and choir ministries since he arrived in 2023.

Fr. Yasinski exemplifies charity, offering continuous support to the less privileged, newcomers, and refugees, and helping to unite families through compassionate pastoral care. From the pulpit, he boldly expresses his support for pro‑life values, guiding the parish to uphold the dignity of every human life.

He actively encourages parishioners to volunteer and actively participate in Mass ministries and other parish activities, and he consistently supports Knights’ initiatives such as the pancake breakfast, cash calendar sales, and BBQ, helping bring more parishioners and more men into the life of the council.

Fr. Yasinski leadership, example, and unwavering support make him truly deserve the Fr. McGivney Award.

Fr. Yasinski has provided an enabling environment for council 11888 Mary Mother of the Church to carry out the mission of Blessed Fr. McGivney in our parish of Our Lady of Lourdes.
