Knights of Columbus Council #11888 Mary Mother of the Church
Knights of Columbus Council 11888 was formalized on
October 27, 1996,
at Our Lady of Lourdes Church.
From its very beginnings our council has grown in membership over the years to a current total of 115 brother knights.
Our current Grand Knight is Oyewole Oyebanji,
Financial Secretary, Adrien Piche.
This year we will reach double star award for our council, meaning we doubled the recommended number of new members this year, which is a very great achievement for the council.
Our council's main objective is to support our local Priest and Parish at our Church.
We build a brotherhood by working, praying, membership recruitment, also fund-raising efforts like our famous pancake breakfast and other objectives that the council partakes in.

We also support other worthwhile charities
O.L.O.L. food pantry in our church
Face to Face Ministry
the K of C Carol Festival
Friendship Inn
K of C Indoor games
Serena
Bosco Homes Farm School
Blackstrap Youth Camp
K of C Coats for kids program with assistance from the K of C Provincial State Board
K of C Clergy Sports Days in Muenster
Mother’s Day Carnation for our Ladies
and the Priest Pension Fund in our Diocese.
Last year we donated roughly $7,000.00 with the support of the K of C Charitable Foundation to these worthwhile charities.

September 28, 2025, our council was asked if we could collaborate to create a plaque to honor the Pastors and Parish Life Directors of our parish for our 60th Anniversary celebration. Members of our council stepped up to help fund this plaque, we also hosted a BBQ and fed over 450 people that day to celebrate this great 60th anniversary event in the parish.

We are also planning to host the Silver Rose sometimes in May or June for District number 26 in Saskatoon, these dates have not been confirmed yet.
On Saturday, November 14th, after the 5:00 pm Mass, our council will be celebrating 30 years as a council and plans are taking shape already to make this a great celebration with special guest speakers and a great banquet of food and fellowship to follow.
